WHOLOCK - The London Tour
Like Doctor Who and Sherlock? Then this tour is for you.
Sit back and enjoy 4hours of fun and two tours for the price of one. Once collected from your hotel your guide will take you around Central London (and some Hidden spots) showing you a selection of the location sites of the modern Doctor Who series, plus the modern day Sherlock.
Sherlock is a contemporary adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. Created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, it stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson.
Now you can see the film location sites of this great series.
This tour will show you location scenes from 221b Baker Street to Buckingham Palace and everything in-between.
See Irene Adler's residence, The Diogenes Club, follow the route of the taxi chase, and a lot more. The tour is a must for any Sherlock fan. The locations you will see on this tour are genuine location sites. We will also show how you can buy Merchandise and props as used in the series.
You will be able to stop for photos where Sherlock plunges to his death, The secret House that Mary arrives at plus a lot more. We will tell you more but we don’t want to spoil the tour for you. During the tour discuss the wit of the series such as:
"Anderson, don't talk out loud. You lower the IQ of the whole street."
"Every fairy tale needs a good old-fashioned villain"
"We are in Buckingham Palace, the very heart of the British nation. Sherlock Holmes, put your trousers on!"
"C'mon! Where is her case? Did she eat it?"
"We solve crimes. I blog about it, he forgets his pants. I wouldn't hold out to much hope."
"I'm not a psychopath, Anderson. I'm a high-functioning sociopath. Do your research."
This tour is for anyone who has enjoyed both the Doctor and Sherlock series. Mixing in with the Sherlock scenes you will also venture into the world of the Doctor
"I know London and it isn't like this..."
Barbara....The Dalek Invasion of Earth.
Doctor Who first appeared on television on 23rd November 1963 with William Hartnell as the Doctor. Fifty plus years on it is still going strong. This tour will fly you around London (in a Taxi not a TARDIS) showing you some of the most popular London film locations of Dr WHO from the 9th Doctor onwards. We will stop at each location and learn about the episode and get great photographs.
Whilst driving from site to site your intrepid Time Lord /Driver Guide will stop for photographs. We will hear about Daleks, Cybermen, Headless Monks, The Silence, River Song, Weeping Angels, all the assistants and all the Doctors.
Have a photograph standing next to the only remaining TARDIS (London police box) on a London street, then it's off and spinning around London as we see the film location sites from the Doctor Who series. As the series has grown in popularity so has this tour. See where scenes were shot during the making of The Chase, Dalek Invasion of Earth and a lot more. Stand on the bridge where the Daleks start their invasion of London, have a photo on the exact spot Rose and the Doctor stood in by the London Eye. Stand outside the building that became 10 Downing Street, follow the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) as he and his new assistant drive through London on a motorbike.
There will be trivia questions (do you know why in the original series two of the main characters were science and history teachers ? We will tell you). There will also be great anecdotal stories of the Doctors, their assistants, writers, locations and the future for the Doctor. We will see where Daleks roamed the streets of London, along with numerous other enemies of the Doctor.
There is so much to do on this tour and we would tell you more but then that would spoil the surprises we have for you.
This is a great family friendly tour.
